Preparing the security check…

For professionals

Start with a
general conversation.

Social workers, commissioning teams and other professionals can use the main email to request information. Include your role, organisation and what you would like to clarify.

Please ask about the service scope and appropriate process before sharing case records or information about an individual child. An initial enquiry does not confirm that a referral can be accepted.

Being heard

Concerns and complaints

Address non-urgent concerns and complaints to the Complaints Officer at info@alexandrachildrenshome.co.uk. Use “For the attention of the Complaints Officer” in the subject line and briefly state whether you are raising a concern or a complaint.

What to include

  • A short description of the issue, without sensitive information about a child.
  • What you would like the team to understand or address.
  • A safe way to contact you and any communication support you would like to request.

What to ask next

The Complaints Officer is the named role for initial complaints. You can ask how to provide further information safely, what the next steps are and when to expect an update. You can also request the complaints procedure and details of any available escalation route.

If the concern involves the usual recipient of the email, ask for an appropriate alternative before sharing more details. This website does not promise absolute confidentiality or a particular response time.

If you are worried about a child’s safety

You can also contact the children’s social care team at the child’s local council. You do not need to wait for Alexandra to reply before seeking help. If the child is at immediate risk, call 999.

Urgent help

In the UK, call 999 if a child or anyone else is in immediate danger.

For a concern about abuse or neglect that is not an immediate emergency, contact the children’s social care team at the child’s local council. For a non-emergency police matter, call 101.

The general enquiry form and main email must not be used as an emergency channel.
